Local Food Resources for New Jersey Families

Food banks across New Jersey’s Heartland are here to help families concerned about the potential loss of SNAP benefits on November 1st.  There are non-profit pantries as well as locations based at churches and local charity organizations. Many of them also partner with the state and county government on their food assistance programs.

The resources available at the listed food pantries in New Jersey’s Heartland are focused on struggling households. Locations may offer free bags of groceries, snacks for children, or hot meals. Staff will also be able to help people meet other needs, whether it is clothing, applications to SNAP food stamps, provide USDA commodities, or more.

The types of goods as well as the hours of each pantry will vary widely. It is recommended that residents call a location before stopping by. Some of the sites are below.
